The fine Apart12 label now turns to a trio of talents from across the world for its next single, Give It To Me. Featuring two great mixes and one original, it comes from the collective minds of the “queen of house“ Barbara Tucker, who has been doing her do for years, Oscar Lindahl a young, upcoming DJ and producer based at Riverside studios Berlin, and finally DJ Q, a professional street dancer in the NYC house scene turned DJ and MC. There is a classic throwback vibe to the original Give It To Me that takes us right back to New York discos of the 80s. Its lush, uplifting house with unashamedly feel good lyrics delivered in fine style, A big breakdown makes the middle of the track then swirling pads and effusive atmospheres all bubble and boil til the end. As well as a fine extended remix there is also a more sombre, back room and emotionally strained remix from Lindahl and an all out peak time, fist pumping gem of a version from Amloop with tooting horns, big bass stabs and party starting vocals.
