The east-London party collective Colors now launch their own record label with this sound-clash of exciting ideas via Frenchman and club resident, Remi Mazet. ‘I Felt This Way Before’ plays testament to his extended scope of influences that include shimmering Euro-Disco synths, cool House basslines and snappy drum beats. All of which combine into a collective feast of sounds that not only feel original and vibrant, but also extremely danceable into the bargain. Ivan Smagghe supplies a tasty remix with a spacier reshaping of the synth lines plus fatter bass giving it all an alternative view. While second track, ‘Les Merguez’ again plays with an amalgam of styles as another effortlessly funky affair emanates from your speakers. Leaving, ‘Orange & Blue’ to fuse Deep and Jazzy notes together over a sassy percussion loop to produce yet more satisfying results.
