A decade after it first appeared on Soma signalling the arrival of a fledging Daft Punk on the remix scene, Dumb Dan revisits the Parliament / Funkadelic ‘Mothership Connection (Live)’ sample opening it up to a whole new market. All of the familiar elements remain intact on this single-sided vinyl release that harks back to the groundbreaking Roule spirit of Gallic energised funk (think Alan Braxe ‘Vertigo’ or Thomas Bangalter’s ‘Trax On Da Rocks EP’) firmly embodied in the grooves. A classic returns – amen!
