Modest and humble are clearly not words in the part-time Rhythm Masters’ vocabulary, but Mr Mac ain’t wrong in his choice of adjectives to describe this sublime slice of funky strings and piano made with spirit of Italo house and Morales & Knuckles Red Zone mixes from the ‘90s in mind. Having first appearing on the producer’s Variation label, it now steps up a notch as the constantly improving CR2 label takes up the mantle and adds additional percussion that compliments the strings and chords without overly smothering them. A vocal has also been recorded by Dirty Vegas’ Steve Smith and will further extended the obviously life of this slow burner all summer long. Larger than Jordan’s current cup size!
