Tanzmann & Stefanik – Volta – (Moon Harbour)

Moon Harbour now enters its 16th year here with a fresh new two track EP from the boss man, Matthias Tanzmann, and one of his long time friends and musical sparring partners, Daniel Stefanik. The former is a regular at DC10 and is known for his slick tech style, and the latter is a veteran of labels like Cocoon, where he cooks up everything from raw techno to freaky minimal.

Both the cuts here are peak time weapons that will blow audiences out of the water. The first is Volta and is a turbo charged, non stop jam that rattles and shakes for seven minutes. It is full of great studio tricks and really sucks you in for the duration. Then on the flip is Swamp, and this one is rather more urgent, slick and watery. It has rumbling bass and hurrie percussion as well as lots of reverting effects and colourful cow bells. Sure to make a big impact in any club, it is pure dancing material from masters of the form.
