The point to Al Kent’s extended reworking of both of these tracks is that they both sound like authentic productions in their own right capturing the essence of the genre, which in a world of (sometimes) unimaginative re-edits has to be admired. ‘Disco Supreme’ reaches almost 13 minutes of Disco ecstasy via the group’s original recordings made in Rio complete with latin flavoured percussion breaks, soaring strings and horns it’s a joy to behold. ‘Keep Believing’, slows the pace down a touch, although is not as engaging, but still retains that same genuine spirit.
