It’s always refreshing to report on an established electronic group that continue to push the boundaries of their craft, and Underworld look to be falling into that category. After the hit and miss album ‘Oblivion With Bells On’ this is a real return to form as they link up with Hospital Records’ High Contrast for a track that has a hook you can hang your coat on, not to mention Karl Hyde’s distinctive vocal and a semi. First listens might pass you by, but stick with it – this is by turns atmospheric, catchy and very cool, and looks set to be one of the best records of the summer – and bodes really well for the new album released in a few months’ time.
