Esser
Satisfied
Transgressive

Following on from the excellent ‘Headlock’, the prince of quirky pop is back with a tale of wasted love. ‘Satisfied’ opens with a beastly cad piano motif before veering off into a cocktail fuelled foxtrot skank around plastic palm trees, complete with sad violins, handclaps and heartfelt lyrics. ‘You know a man can never win, even if you can buy her all the shoes. So when you play the game of love my friends, it’s a game you’ll always lose’. Toddla T & Ross Orton deliver a  jump up dancehall flavoured mix, and Mad Professor makes the most of the downbeat as well as delving deep into his dub chamber. Esser’s debut LP is due Febuary 09… Watch this space.
