When ‘Kerberos’ hit the shelves for the first time in 2014, Systematic boss Marc Romboy and his friend Stephan Bodzin delivered a track that is regarded a classic four years later-at least if you love your House Music a bit deeper and bumpier.
Now the key track is back with a bunch of new mixes, and we can reveal these are not your odd revamps you hear every day on every corner of the street, they are very special as well.
The EP opens with Solomun & Johannes Brecht’s rework. The duo take away its original hypnotic aura, replacing it with a brooding and industrial mood. Needless to say Solomun doesn’t do too many remixes these days-it seems he’s saving his creativity for the big ones. Next up, These Eyes label founder André Hommen slows the pitch down and adds stronger percussive pads, whilst Dubliner Matador strips back the original, adding amazing tribal elements.
All in all this is an essential remix pack of an already essential track.
