DJ Hype is celebrating 20 years in the business this year !!!
1. Therapy ‘Original Sin’ (Playaz)
This track is taken from the forthcoming original sin album due for release later this year, i have been starting my sets with this trak everywhere around the globe and it proper gets the party started, i am getting loads of djs want this trak so i know its a biggie!!!
2. Platinum Shadow ‘DJ Hazard’ (Playaz)
Something not even finished but still sounding great out on the dancefloor,,this one is a fat rollout from hazard that puts him in his own league!
3. Mashing Up The Dance ‘Jeckyl & Hyde’
Potential bad boy is slowly but surely finding his feet again after a little break from producing and i am loving this trak as it kinda blends old-style and new-style jungle together and shows me that he is still one of the most underrated pioneers to come out of this scene and its my job to make everyone know where he is from
4. Subfocus ‘Story So Far’ (Ram)
Another huge trak from Subfocus who has been quietly working away at his album for the last 2 years and this trak again is a epic journey into the sonic realms of bassline domination and i good taster for him album
5. Subzero ‘Promised Land’ (Frontline)
Formerly one half of g-dub now gone solo and this is his first trak due for release this year, this ones a nasty little tearer thats jumps out the speakers when played in a club , nothing but bassline heaven!
6. Dillinja ‘Shiners’ (Valve)
This one has been on dub for 2 years in my box but still gets played pretty much everywhere i play,,,,dillinja is still one of the most original artists to come out of drum and bass and i still think he is gonna be here many more years to come ,,if ya like em big bad and heavy then dillinja is the man!
7. Hazard ‘Wicked So’ (Playaz)
With all the hype around dubstep at the moment hazard has gone in and merged the dubstep vibe into drum and bass(we call it drum and bass step) to create this amazingly simple but nasty trak,featuring the vocals of mc daddy earl and it smacks it all over the planet …..so now ya know….drum and bass step! lol
8. Noisia ‘My World’ (Not Sure?)
Noisia and really going from strength to strength at the moment and this trak is a fave of mine featuring some really nice vocals before you get one of the fattest basslines out there at the moment ,again god know when this is out but it is def one to watch out for
9. Without You ‘Original Sin’ (Playaz)
This is another prototype from the forthcoming original sin album and make no mistake about this ripping heads off when dropped in clubs i actually call this one fight music as when i play it the dancefloor usually erupts into a big mosh pit with guys going crazy and girls running for cover!!!
10. Taxman ‘Dreamland’ (Ganja)
This one is a complete direction change for taxman and is on a old-school amen vibe and kinda reminds me of the 94/95 era of drum and bass jungle but done in a modern way and a lot more on a deeper vibe compared to his usual dancefloor smashers(but it will still smash a dancefloor in its own right)
