Great to chat you guys! What brings you to us today?

We just released a record that we’re super proud of called “Champagne” which features hip hop extraordinary Chief Keef!! We’re curious to see how our fans and the people out there respond to it!

Why the Champagne theme?

We started with a melody hook that had the lyric “take me to the time when there was only champagne” in it. We liked the idea of making a sad song (lyrically) that sounds happy. The lyrics are about wanting to go back to a time in a relationship when you’re happy so essentially it’s a break up song. But sonically it is summery and happy sounding. Feels like it fits with our summer tour as we see people every night sipping bubbly and having a great time.

Tell me about the inspiration behind your new track…

Sonically we wanted to make something that was slower and not made for a rave but still had a strong beat. Lyrically, we were reminiscing about how great it is at the beginning of a relationship. It’s a sad thing when you loose those feelings.

What’s the best thing about working as sisters?

What’s the hardest thing about working as sisters? We are sisters, we are best friends, we are business partners, we are each other’s sounding board, we are each other’s biggest supporters and also harshest critic but one thing is for sure and that is that we wouldn’t do this without each other. We squabble at times but there is an underlining honesty that we have for each other which ultimately builds into a respect and the best teamwork we have ever experienced. We both love what we do – we live for the music and we have the same work ethic. Creatively, we are more than often on a similar wave length than not. Even if we have different ideas we always come together and find a middle ground. We are better together. The universe was very kind to give us each other!

What’s been your favorite moment of this summer?

Tomorrowland is a super special festival – we were so excited to play main stage for both weekends this year!  We also love going back to Ushuaia in Ibiza for our NERVONation shows. There are so many great festivals – Lollapalooza, Parookaville, Balaton Sound Festival…too many to name!

What can we expect from you guys next year?

We have quite a few upcoming releases that we are working very hard on right now. All our energy is going into music. We take the fourth quarter of each year to work on new music and have been developing a few ideas that we’re super psyched about. Our goal is to finish them in the next couple of months.  We have some great collabs scheduled to come out this year with some amazing artists and also some DJ buddies like DVBBS, Danny Avila, and Wolfpack.  We have our residencies in Ibiza and Vegas and we’re loving throwing our NERVOnation parties around the world which we will definitely carry over into next year along with a whole lot of festivals which were super stoked about. On a personal level, we have toured some amazing places around the world and are still visiting places we have never been before.  The gigs are great!  Of course it would be nice to win a Grammy, have 10 number 1’s but all in all we’re having a great time and feel very lucky to do music for a living and continue that run into 2018!
