MANETTA’S FINE FOOD
REBD009 – Out Now

Born in Benevento, since 1998 Stefano Testa, making use of his technical knowledge, goes straight up in little time to the best clubs of his city with the support of the the biggest italian djs. In 2003 he moves to Rome, proposing an avant-garde musical style. His sets are a mixture of sounds that goes from pure techno to the deepest grooves of house music, from minimal-contaminated sounds to the electronic ones and his live sets make him for sure to be one that can not so easily be classified. He starts collaborations with magazines and the first productions. “Manetta’s fine food” is his first release on Rebirth Records. It sounds like a tool perfect for the sunshine days considering the sexy, slightly wonky nature of the record. The driving, chunky beat is perfectly complimented by a quirky, sweet-sounding percussive synth sound that joyfully jiggles about. With deeper rhythms and a stripped groove, this one takes you back to the basement house parties. Hot!!!

On the remix duties Tony Rodriguez aka Brother’s Vibe, from New Jersey, who delivered a super warm deep mix mixing filthy beats, minimal house and jazzy house vibes. Also american producer and dj, Jacques Renault. With his remixes, edits, original tracks and collaborative project RUNAWAY he has released music on internationally acclaimed New York labels DFA, Chinatown, Italians Do It Better, Rekids, Editions Disco and I’m A Cliché. Immediately grabbed by the energy of the track, he felt like he wanted to just be a part of it and added his touch to the track.

Last but not least Chigago’s rising producer Tevo Howard (Beautiful Grandville Records) strips the original back adding a classic old school house flavour !
