Full of memories and a blueprint of melancholic influences, that found their way into my music. It has this timeless strong character which makes it a contemporary piece of music in whatever decade.
4. The Working Our

A huge masterpiece, this is. An arrangement with so many superb and different parts together in one song makes The Working Our so outstanding. I find it remarkable how Roland Orzabal’s voice, in combination with a melancholic saxophone play, takes you down memory lane in such a conveniently hurting manner. This is a monument in my musical education.

It’s the chords, it’s the down tempo groove with its cool percussions and it’s the voice and vocals which make this song an all-time classic to me. “We can be free together, relax your mind”. King Britt at its best.

8. Someone Somewhere (In Summertime)
Simple Minds.

This song was introduced to me in 1985 and is a great anthem to me ever since. Listening to this track is like looking over my shoulder.
9. Nautilus

When it comes to chords, this one really impresses me. It is anyway one the coolest vinyls in my collection.
10. Planetary Deadlock

I played this record so many times at home. Meanwhile it sounds more like a campfire with all its crackles and flares. I’m glad I recorded it onto my computer in time because I’m still enjoying this one a lot.
