The Wrongstar Society

“The Wrongstars are trouble with a capital T. These boys have finally made a stand against all this bullsh*t music that’s out there at the moment and it feels good. You can tell they have actually lived the fights, the trouble and the carnage. If they can carry this on without getting arrested and f*cking everything up…we could be looking at a very exciting band” – NME.com

LA Woman – The Doors
An out and out classic with a chorus hook that makes you want to drink and cause trouble

Shimmy Shimmy Ya – Old Dirty Bastard
What more do you need from a tune – wicked piano hook and one of raps craziest legends spitting

Cocaine Blues – Johnny Cash
A story of doing coke and shooting your wife. J Cash had almost as many issues as us

Insane in the Brain – Cypress Hill
Black Sunday was the soundtrack to us growing up and this is one of many classics off that album

Protect ya neck – Wu-tang clan
For me the best line in any song ever is old dirty bastards first line in the song. The music was so different for the time .

Rage Against The Machine – Killing In The Name Of
This was the first time i got interested in shouty type vocals such a clear political/ social point screamed down the mic changed my music world

Firestarter – The Prodigy
From the same area as us lot, Firestarter was/is and always will be a f*cking classic

Planet Dust – Bad Company
Dont think this synth line will ever be beaten and when the bass kicks in its all over….sicker than a sick parrot

Nirvana – Dumb
The dynamics in this track are immense. Its relaxed one minute then f*cking firing the next.

Portishead – Numb
The coolest track ever made. The kind of track people who wear sunglasses like.

The Wrongstar Societys debut album – Beats, Rhymes and Conflicts – is out on Unstable. In the forthcoming months they have loads of gigs lined up, are producing two tunes for a channel four film and will hopefully not be going to prison when they go to court.
