Bugged Out and Little Boots presents ‘Boots Camp’.
The Manc crew who in the past have teamed up with the likes of Hot Chip, Saint Etienne and Klaxons, now team up with a real little pop star Little Boots. Always linked with the club world, whether it’s through her compositions with Joe Goddard of Hot Chip, cover versions of songs like Ready For The Floor and Day & Night or choice of remixers like Rusko, Fake Blood, Fred Falke and Drop The Lime. She’s also quite the Italo disco aficionado and recently raved on her popular Twitter feed about the latest Clone recs compilation. So Bugged Out approached her with an idea, well, the name came first: Boots Camp. Turning over a bespoke space in Shoreditch for Victoria to programme with a boomin’ sound system and fancy flashing lights. She has chosen very well: Aeroplane have rarely visited London this year so this is a real coup, they’ve turned in some of the best remixes of recent years, most notably for Friendly Fires and Grace Jones. The guys are currently recording their debut album but are making time for Boots Camp. Joe Goddard from Hot Chip is an obvious choice being a long term collaborator of Vic’s, he’s also about to release his dance heavy solo album Harvest Festival on his own Greco Roman label. Also playing records, alongside Little Boots herself are Heartbreak, the pop group heavily influenced by Italo disco and Piers Martin of London’s Cocadisco.  Little Boots says of her camp, “Joe Chip is great and such a versatile DJ, I love his sets. I’ve been a big fan of Aeroplane from finding out about them on blogs so I’m really interested to hear them DJing. I am a huge Heartbreak fan so I’m really glad they are on the bill too.”
