Ibiza 2010
Cream At Amnesia with Eric Prydz & Paul van Dyk

Have to say Cream pulled no punches with their Ibiza DJ lineup’s this year, with a great combo of the cool epic sounds of Prydz and the passion and nrg of Sir PVD.
My second visit to the mighty Amnesia this week and was taken aback by the scale of the stage built in the main room to host Eric Prydz and crew underneath the huge screen but it really works, the guys must have been working non stop to put this production together as the whole show was backed up by a beautiful graphic show all night to back up the solid groove thrown down by Eric.
The crowd seem to flood in and fill the venue within minutes and took there positions on the floor for a special journey only Mr Prydz could deliver, a monster 3 hour set had us heads down and stomping to a selection of the coolest slices of tec house and pounding big room techno you could imagine while teasing us with the big riffs and piano epics we all want to hear.
Meanwhile the trance room was going off big time from doors opening, it was hot and frantic in the crowd all working to find the perfect position to feel the warm euphoric beats envelope them.
I grabbed a key vantage point on the numerous podiums and watched  Paul take to the consoles with 2 laptops and proceeded to deliver a set of magnitude and quality that took the crowd to another level while getting whipped by the amazing sound and light show Amnesia is so famed for, lots of new music to be devoured while the classic anthems supplied the icing on the cake but be prepared to sweat this baby out.
Heading back to the main room Eric was into his last hour and it was intense as the music built into riffs and breakdowns of skyscraper proportions highlighting with a special mix on Zombie Nation and a Faithless booty that just floored the crowd with emotion, all that was left to finish us off was the magic of ‘Pjanoo’ that was teased and stretched to the limits of human endurance before letting loose with the chorus and leaving the crowd in a giant heaving mass of ecstasy.
Amnesia delivered yet again with a very special night put together by those geniuses of Cream, lets hope the passion of Ibiza makes it back over to the UK and hits us with more of the same at this years Creamfields.
