There’s some great moments on Silver City, not least the beautifully crafted ‘La Seine’ – a mind-enveloping instrumental that just gets better with each successive play. From the slap bass and in-ya-face funk of ‘What You Get’, to the vocoder vibe of ‘Dance Till The Morning’, Silver City beat to several drums without ever finding a niche to call home. Ironically it’s ‘Say Hi’, with a bassline that sounds uncannily like the Miracles’ ‘Love Machine’ with a vocal that Shaun Ryder would be proud to call his own, and ‘80s flavour of Shiver, that captures the essence of the Argentinean duo best.
