Various Artists – Four To The Floor 06 – (Diynamic)

Solomun’s Diynamic label is already supercharged with talent and carries a big reputation in Germany and beyond. This is the sixth instalment in the massively popular Four To The Floor series. Superstar boss Solomun has already described the series as being filled with “Amazing new blood for our label”. We couldn’t agree more.

Opening track ‘Growler’ comes from Spanish duo Pig&Dan and their fierce, heavy techno cuts. Having already released on the likes of Soma, Cocoon and Bedrock, it’s high time they bring their thick, deeply euphoric sound to Diynamic. Make no mistake; ‘Growler’ makes for a perfect opening track to a massive EP.

Next up is Guy Mantzer, an Israeli export and expert in all things house & techno as well as co-owner of both Plattenburg Records and The Cat and The Dog records. His track ‘Tress of Eden’ is a typically edgy, melodic and progressive sound. Guy has previously released on the likes of Kompakt, and it is clear why he was invited to the Four To The Floor party. As part of the Diynamic family, he will go far.

The third track comes from Anna, the latest in a long line of Brazilian talent, and she brings her brand of heavy techno to the fore with ‘Odd Concept’. This is a proper deep techno roller. She has been a regular at the top of the Beatport charts for a while now, and it’s easy to see why. At the heart of ‘Odd Concept’ is rolling techno bass at its finest, laced with spooky alien sounds and showered with heavy, imposing synth.

The fourth and final cut, ‘Cobalt’ comes from Jonas Rathsman and is the perfect slammer to bring the EP to an end. This is fractious, infectious tech house at its best. A guaranteed floor filler. This latest release in the Four To The Floor series is another indicator of the Diynamic’s flying form. With such amazing talent on board, 2016 is Diynamic’s oyster, so to speak.
