Just the ten tracks in Shiloh’s ‘Elements’ mix, but that’s only half the story of an intriguing idea by the reliably good Baroque label. In this series the DJ will have musical input to each track as well, being given the parts to remix each track as they want it. Shiloh takes the elements to make this a set that starts out with dark, driving house – r-ten and Filo & Pen partly responsible – and moves on to some heavy set breaks. Danny Armstrong’s ‘Kill The Machines’ benefits from a funkier remix, but the real crowning glory is the final track, Gareth Emery’s ‘Outrageous’, which takes over completely with a killer break. An excellent idea for a series – and a resounding success on Shiloh’s part.
