Having spent more time producing for others than on his own repertoire, it’s good to have William Orbit back, and he’s still doing what he does best in the form of pure ambient music. You’ll instantly recognise the composer of ‘Pure Shores’ and ‘Frozen’ in the excellent Sugababes collaboration ‘Spiral’, while the album also features Finley Quaye and a reunion with Orbit’s Strange Cargo band-mate Laurie Mayer for the blissful ‘Bubble Universe’. Dreamy stuff, the musical equivalent of putting your feet up.
