If you missed last year’s brilliant album ‘Kennedy For President’, here’s another chance to get acquainted with the world of Jack Kennedy via a generous five part EP. My advice is – get on board quick. Two cuts from that LP are here – ‘Your Mama’ given a funkier than funky house mix by the Wideboys and ‘Karate’ not needing any tampering in its fantastic, razor sharp original. Kennedy’s lyrics are a huge appeal of his style, and ‘Life Is A Party’ and ‘I Hate Rock & Roll’ feature him in slightly risque couplets, his cheeky persona mixed with a Scissor Sisters sense of glam. Great stuff, both for grooving and home listening.
