What can I add that hasn’t already been said of Mr. G. His trademark sounds and one-man mission deliver once again superb, timeless smoky rhythms that hint at history but which are are doubtless hot-wired into today’s mainframe. This set of remixes only adds fuel to the fire of the original Vocal Mix which of course features the sultry voice of blondewearingblack. The Dark Broke Down Dub despite its name adds breezier, funkier rhythms care off Kai Alce, who also delivers the heat via ‘KZR’s Dark Mix’. That only leaves Mr. G’s own and very excellent ‘Out Dub’ to tease vocal loops and stripped-back tension as only he can, alongside a suitably first-rate instrumental to complete.
