Jamie Bissmire has already set himself up as one of the UK’s prime exponents of the heavyweight terror-jack style via his releases on 50HZ. The prospect of a teamup with Chicago’s DJ Bam Bam is terrifying and this six-tracker more than lives up to it. From the opening declaration of ‘Face down, ass up, that’s the way we like to fuck’, it’s an exercise in severe ghetto-tech, except the beats have been been drenched in Jamie’s customary feel for nuclear groove warheads. Each track revolves around a ghetto vocal loop – there’s even a take on DJ Assault’s ‘Ass ‘N’ Titties’ – and every beat booms malevolently. This bastardised mutant of the Chicago jackmaster and UK’s finest hijacking Detroit’s old booty sound is as earthshaking as it sounds.
