An old mate called Ben Brydon passed away the other weekend [at a club]: a fine DJ and regular on London electronic events, he’s already massively missed by many. Ben would’ve loved Mixtape co-founder Bruno’s label debut with this dense, pummelling acidic growler, flecked with guitar and whispered title hook which is then stripped to minimal territory by Angel Alanis. Sometimes you need something a little stronger, which is where Gus Brown comes in with a lethal jacking remix, homing in on the drums, bass and vocal shard. Fierce all round.
