Trainspotting with Perfect Havoc

Adam Griffin is the founder and A&R of Perfect Havoc. Also a club night and artist management agency, Perfect Havoc has positioned itself as a brand signing quality music from genuine breaking producers in the house and nu disco scenes, turning over records to majors like Ministry of Sound, Atlantic and Polydor. On Spotify, the label has clocked up over 3.5 million streams for its releases and associated artists, demonstrating its ability to pick out the big tunes and stars of tomorrow.

From San Francisco to the Perfect Havoc HQ in Hoxton, Perfect Havoc is fast becoming known for throwing some of the coolest pop-parties around, where at each party it stages some of the scene’s most genuine and in-demand DJ talent. Ahead of Perfect Havoc Disco at City Zebrano on 5 November, Adam Griffin gives us Trainspotting Top 10.

1. Neiked – Sexual (Oliver Nelson Remix)

How do you improve perfection? Add some Havoc and a sprinkle of Nelson magic dust, that’s how!

2. Tobtok – Aber

All about the struggles in life and how you overcome them.  A track from the heart from one of our amazing producers on Perfect Havoc.  We are blessed.

3. Oliver Nelson Feat. Khaleem Taylor “Ain’t A Thing”

Not too much to say apart from that this is the result of two young geniuses working together.

4. Chasing Kurt – Losing Hope

If you could sum up the changing of seasons (Autumn to Winter) in a track this is it.  Mellow, melodic bliss!

5. Sasha – Track 10

The fact he’s my favourite DJ of all time and that it’s his first original in years doesn’t mean I’m automatically going to put it in my top ten. It’s because it’s a masterclass in progressive house, a heavenly vocal balanced with a stunning, subtle, soft synth. Check the man in action:

6. Weiss – Sunshine

The art of great music is keeping it simple.  If only it was that easy. Maybe ask Weiss as he nails it every time!

7.  Kokiri – Be Cool

Another stunning production from the best thing to come out of Liverpool since Ian Rush.

8. Courage – Looking For

When I’m playing back 2 back with Tobtok, we argue who plays this, even though we are both standing there. Say no more.

9. Osmo Feat. Ayelle – Take You Time

In the days post “Fast Car” everyone is trying to take the same tropical lead and place it on an old hit vocal.  Osmo flips this trend and puts a fresh lead onto a wicked original vox.

10. Fatima Yamaha vs Basic Channel – What’s A Girl To Do (Joris Voorn Edit)

Sounds like when a very difficult jigsaw puzzle finally comes together.
