Music Conference
The International Music Summit

May 26th-28th, Ibiza 2010

With this year’s International Music Summit (IMS) in Ibiza just weeks away and looking bigger and better than ever, the team are thrilled to now announce the line-up for the Grand Finale Festival at the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site in Dalt Vila. Quite possibly, the finest open-air live music venue in the world! This year IMS have pulled out all the stops, assembling an eclectic array of talent and bringing together a uniquely different festival line-up to Ibiza. Underlining the IMS mantra of being forward-thinking in everything they do. This will be an amazing finale. The headline live act on the night is Buraka Som Sistema – the Portuguese ghettotech 4-piece who recently achieved a Christmas number 1 in Spain’s main pop charts, all off the back of a sync – an incredible achievement. Support will also come from David E Sugar, the latest signing to Rob da Bank’s Sunday Best Recordings label, who’s currently supporting Deadmau5 on tour. Alongside IMS co-founder and curator Pete Tong, confirmed DJs on the night include a rare DJ set from Mark Ronson who, despite being better known as an award-winning pop producer these days, is and always has been one of the best DJ’s of his generation. Also on the bill is one the most exciting man in dance music today, Skream, who will bring his unique, open-minded dubstep sound to the Ibizan sunshine for the first time ever. And last, but by no means least we have a stone-cold legend in the shape of Sasha, a man who has been at the top of his game ever since he started playing raves in 1989 – going on to set the benchmark for everything that’s possible as a DJ.

Mark Ronson “I’m very much looking forward to DJ’ing as well as keynote speaking at IMS 2010. It’s the only party in Ibiza’s World Heritage Site, Dalt Vila, a glorious location with a killer line-up. Word.”

Pete Tong “We are very proud of this line-up for the IMS Grand Finale Festival in Dalt Vila. To bring such a festival-style line-up to this World Heritage site, including recent Spanish number-one act Buraka Som Sistema, is a great achievement. Ronson, Sasha, Skream, plus two very forward-thinking live acts including David E Sugar, it’s the perfection reflection of everything we’ve set-out to achieve with the International Music Summit. We’re about shining the spotlight on innovation, and this line-up is a clear reflection of some of the freshest and most established names in the global electronic music space.”

Since it’s launch in 2008, IMS has developed into the leading event for those working in electronic music, attracting industry leaders and media to Ibiza for 3-days of thought-provoking discussion and innovation. Created by a team including BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong, IMS is setup by professionals for professionals and is centered around networking and presenting the latest developments. With influential guest speakers from The Coca-Cola Group, Ministry of Sound, Resident Advisor, BBC Radio 1 and a keynote interview with Mark Ronson already confirmed for 2010, the IMS also prides itself on it’s spectacular Grand Finale Festival at Ibiza’s most inspiring location. The event is free to attend for all delegates of the IMS, with some 2,000 tickets available to the public.
