Francesco Tristano’s selection probes at the very heart of music with this latest compilation numbering sixteen in the Get Physical series. It’s little short of a fascinating revelation of sounds and styles that are both equally diverse and divergent. Sometimes referencing smoky Jazz such as on Julio Victoria’s atmospheric ‘Impermanent’, sometimes blissful ambience via his own ‘Ongaku’ and then contrasted with Cardopusher’s crushing Techno of ‘1989 Warehouse’. Also watch out for Reboot’s addictive piano infused remix of ‘Afrodiziak’ by KhalifeSchumacherTristano plus Roland Leesker’s great remix of DJ Pierre’s timely ‘What Is House Muzik’.
