CAMPING 2
BPITCH CONTROL

Ellen Alien’s Bpitch Control has carved a name for the most sublime blend of house, electro and boogie mutants. Melodies jostle and intertwine and it’s never less than hallucinogenically sexy. ‘Camping 2’ consolidates the Berlin label’s sound and vision with a bevy of releases past, present and future by happy campers like Kiki, Tomas Andersson, Sascha Funke, Paul Kalkbrenner, Modeselektor and Ellen herself. Of course the Tiga remix of Tomas’s ‘Washing Up’ is here but items like Sylvia Marks & Hal 9000’s ‘My Computer Eats An Acid Trip’ are just as arresting. And Ellen’s stuff is sublimely intoxicating as ever. Kiki has turned in some gems for the label, like ‘So Easy To Forget’ and his remix of Ellen’s ‘Your Body Is My Body’, but now shows up on the label with his own mix album – which turns out to be a uniquely gorgeous journey. Using tracks by artists including Fairmont, Troy Pierce, Turner, Guy Gerber and Marc Houle’s remix of Slam’s ‘Kill The Pain’. it weaves a deep tapestry of subterranean house magic which is sometimes down to a sexy whisper or translucent pulse waiting for the next killer bass-line. Bliss.
