There is a point midway through the second of the two CDs where Ricardo Villalobos’ ‘Pschko’ seems to be melting in its own magical domain. All sense of time and dance momentum is lost as the set’s mesmerising journey just kicks back and goes with the flow. Other ingredients like the lush shuffle of Claude Vonstroke’s  ‘Who’s Afraid Of Detroit’ have been and the hallucinogenic mood, somewhat reminsicent of those Eskimo excursions, goes way beyond normal mix compilations. Get Physical duo Patrick Bodmer and Phillipp Jung are the pair responsible. Their first CD is of a more typically Get Physical minimal space-funk bent with names like Booka Shade, Lindstrom & Prinz Thomas before throwing delicious curves with Original Rockers’ ‘Push Push’ and Fingers Inc’s ‘A Path’ instrumental to start the elevation into the afore-mentioned altered state. This is all just the tip of a massively-pleasurable iceberg. After several seconds’ runout groove effect the whole gorgeous journey goes out with Coldcut and Robert Owens’ magnificent ‘Walk A Mile’. What a series this is turning out to be.
