LITTLE FREAKY THINGS – SATURNE – (11 HEADS RECORDS)

If you can like to drift away, daydream, cloudwatch or imagine you are floating in space and talking to a moon made of cheese, then ‘Saturne’ is most definitely for you. Donovans and Mai Lan Chapiron dock for a brittle yet powerful collaboration. Mai Lan’s crystal clear half spoken / sung vocal  embroiders the shimmering, frosty slow-mo arrangement and it all makes you want to rub your hands together, blow on them and watch the snowflakes melt on your eyelashes. It’s almost like reading Le Petit Prince for the first time. Just wonderful.  Add the amped up, housey and bleepy synth driven Youan remix and you have a club bouncing to a happpy beat. Donovan’s remix is a stripped down, dark dancefloor devastator whilst Eero Johannes freeform funk could heal and baptise the world with the power of its universal brotherly love. Broke One deliver a super sycopated, broken beat opus and that’ll give you blue skies on grey days. Reminiscent of Air’s ‘Moon Safari’, Zero 7 and country picnics with gingham table cloths and lashings of ginger beer.
