Ruff Driverz Presents Arrola
Dreaming 2009
Maelstrom

It really is almost 11-years to the day that this Katherine Ellis-sung number first dented the top ten of the UK pop charts; Brad Carter and Chris Brown the masterminds behind this Latin-enriched flamenco floorfiller that was a true white Island favourite back in ’98. The Hoxton Whores punchy electro-tinged new version is joined by mixes from Slovenian’s Beltek, hard dance heroes BK & Anne Savage and tech-don Paul Morrell, but for me Filthy Fiction’s homage to Nicola Fasano’s current remix sound steals the show with his authentic sounding refashionreeking of Mediterranean warmth and Latin spirit. Which begs the question: why then is this being released in November?
