Originally out on the sadly defunct City Rockers label, this indie-electro song with much club appeal, had been unfairly overlooked. It’s now back on No Future, a new London imprint which made a splash last year with a similar sounding single from Peter Katafalk (‘Down & Out’, an underrated classic). With its camp new wave vocal and pumping electrock backing track ‘Treat Me Better’ sounds contemporary now more than ever (133 BPM). Remix-wise the Treat Me Harder mix goes for a suffocating techno angle (124) whilst Get Physical’s Voltique slow things right down with a bleepy plonk re-rub (123).
