The first of three singles to be taken from the visionary producer’s upcoming Galactic Caravan album further refines his percussion-based sound and bodes very well indeed. ‘Meridian’ plants squiggly laptoppy melodies over a contagious groove which invites heavy electro penetration as it progresses. ‘Meloudic Landscapes’ is firmly in Motech’s Detroit soul mould with bright, breezy melodies, orchestral flickers and big string drop. In these hard times it’s actually a very happy track, which is quite unusual if you think about it.
